BVI Spring Regatta- Tortola, BVI

Warm turquoise waters, steady trade winds, and stunning island scenery—if this sounds like the perfect antidote to time spent shoreside, the British Virgin Islands deliver a week of world-class racing and remarkable camaraderie. It’s game on, and the fleet is ready to race.

Longtime sponsor Nanny Cay Resort and Marina serves as the event host, providing an exceptional setting for a regatta that is fully focused on high-level competition. Sailors and regatta followers can expect the same top-notch experience that has defined this beloved event for more than 50 editions.

With a refreshed format, the week begins with the Scrub Island Invitational Regatta, a fun and scenic race that sends the fleet east toward islands such as Virgin Gorda before finishing at Scrub Island Resort and Marina. There, sailors enjoy an afternoon of festivities, great food, and live music in a relaxed island atmosphere.

The racing lineup includes the Scrub Island Invitational, Round Tortola Race, Sailing Festival, and the iconic BVI Spring Regatta. Known as the Sailing Capital of the World, the British Virgin Islands offer sheltered waters and more than 60 islands and cays—ideal conditions for both competitive racing and unforgettable sailing.

The Regatta attracts a diverse international fleet alongside a strong bareboat contingent. Sailors may choose to participate in the Sailing Festival, the BVI Spring Regatta, or the full week of racing, depending on their preferences and schedules.

While many competitors race their own boats, a significant portion of the fleet sails on charter yachts. A wide range of charter options is available, from bareboat cruisers to high-performance race boats—making it easy for teams of all levels to take part.
