Sail and Work Experience Alexandre is a dual-purpose deck and engine officer with solid commercial shipping experience and a strong sailing background. He has worked with EURONAV aboard VLCCs, taking on bridge watchkeeping, cargo operations, safety duties, dry dock maintenance, and inspections. His earlier cadetships with EURONAV, DFDS, and PONANT gave him experience across tankers, ferries, and cruise ships. He has also worked as a sailing instructor for children and adults and competed at French and World Championship level. Job Description As an Officer, Alexandre is responsible for maintaining safe navigational watches, supporting the captain in the daily operation of the vessel, monitoring safety procedures, assisting with cargo and deck operations, maintaining navigational and safety equipment, and ensuring compliance with international maritime regulations. His dual deck and engine qualifications also enable him to assist with engineering operations and technical maintenance when required.
