To the Crew of GENNY!
I heard back from my clients who were just on board with you August 9–16 in the Ionian Islands, and I wanted to make sure I passed their feedback along to all of you.
My clients are very well-traveled, and they were absolutely blown away by the beauty of the Ionian Islands. But just as importantly, they could not stop talking about the crew of GENNY!
Giuseppe, for someone as young as you are, you absolutely blew my clients’ minds throughout the entire charter! They were so impressed by your confidence, your skills, and the way you handled GENNY.
There were several times when you pulled into busy coves with yachts everywhere, and somehow you managed to weave your way through and get GENNY into what they felt was the best spot of all the yachts around! They were constantly in awe of your ability and confidence at the helm.
And your personality made the experience even better. They said you were so funny, personable, and easy to be around, while at the same time making them feel completely confident and safe in your hands.
One story they shared with me really says it all.
One night, GENNY was anchored in a cove when, around 1:00 a.m., the winds suddenly shifted approximately 90 degrees and began blowing extremely hard. My lead client woke up, went upstairs, and saw the entire GENNY crew already up and taking care of the vessel.
Around them, the situation had become chaotic. Other yachts were struggling with the sudden change in conditions, 2 yachts were pushed into each other and another went into the rocks. The other crews around them were really panicking.
But not GENNY.
Giuseppe and the entire crew remained calm, cool and collected. You handled the situation professionally and safely and got GENNY out of what could have become a very difficult situation. My clients were incredibly impressed. Seeing how you and your crew responded when conditions suddenly became challenging gave them an entirely different level of confidence in all of you.
To the deck crew, they said you were always so friendly, helpful and welcoming. Nothing ever felt like too much to ask. You made them feel completely at home on board and, most importantly, like they were always in excellent hands.
Chef Lia, my clients are FOODIES and you continually impressed them with every meal! They especially raved about the Greek dishes you prepared. They were blown away by your talent and the quality of the food throughout the charter. WOW!
And Valentina, they absolutely adored you! You have such a big heart and were always “on it” morning, noon and night. You never seemed to stop, and your attention to detail did not go unnoticed. You took such wonderful care of everyone and were truly amazing!
What makes me happiest as their broker is hearing that they didn't simply love GENNY or the Ionian Islands, they loved the PEOPLE who created the experience for them.
That is what turns a beautiful yacht charter into a trip a family will remember forever.
