JACKALOPE is a 2023 Bali 4.4 sailing catamaran built for breezy cruising through the Bahamas and Exumas, with Bali’s signature indoor-outdoor flow creating the feel of a floating island villa. The full-width rear salon wall opens directly to the cockpit, while a raised lounge beside the helm and a net-free forward lounge with sunpads, bench seating, and a table offer inviting spots for relaxed days and sunset cocktails.
Accommodating up to 6 guests, JACKALOPE offers 3 queen cabins, each with a private ensuite and individual A/C. Starlink, generator and solar support, and a watermaker add comfort and convenience at anchor, while water toys keep the days active between beaches and hidden coves. Captain Steven Crawford
Captain Steven brings a lifelong connection to sailing and more than 3,000 nautical miles of hands-on experience from an unforgettable voyage between Montreal and the Bahamas. His love for the water began in childhood while living aboard a 50-foot sailboat and continued through seven months of cruising south from Canada to the Caribbean.
Fluent in both French and English, Steven combines strong project management skills with excellent customer service and a calm, practical approach to life onboard. His experience includes mechanics, plumbing, crisis management, and sailing instruction, giving him the versatility to handle a wide range of situations with confidence.
Whether guiding guests through breathtaking scenery, sharing his knowledge of sailing, or ensuring every detail runs smoothly, Steven takes pride in creating safe, enjoyable, and memorable experiences on the water. His goal is simple: to share his passion for the sea and help every guest feel comfortable, engaged, and inspired throughout the journey.
Chef Valerie
Chef Valerie is passionate about creating unforgettable gourmet moments through fresh ingredients, creative presentation, and flavors inspired by cuisines from around the world. Her goal is to make every meal onboard feel special, whether guests are seeking refined dining, something comforting after a day at sea, or the opportunity to explore new tastes.
In the Bahamas, Valerie draws inspiration from the abundance of the sea and land, including freshly caught fish and seafood, tropical fruits, local vegetables, and fragrant spices. She enjoys transforming these ingredients into colorful, flavorful dishes that celebrate the character of the region.
Valerie takes a personalized approach to each menu, adapting meals to guest preferences and creating dishes that balance freshness, authenticity, and creativity.
