Pickups outside of the BVI have a relocation fee that is non commissionable. SAINT MARTIN / SAINT BARTHS RELOCATION FEE: Relocation fee of $4000, minimum 72 hour turn required on either side of charter dates for boat transit. Please inquire for availability. For 5 nights or less, divide weekly rate by 6 nights X number of nights. ● SLEEP ABOARD:1/2 the daily rate. Dinner ashore at client's expense. Includes; boarding after 4pm, welcome cocktail and breakfast the next morning and early start. The amount you leave is totally at your discretion and should be based on the level of service provided. The suggested gratuity is 15%-20% of the total charter fee. ● CONTRACT SPECIAL CONDITIONS: 1. The charter fee includes British Virgin Islands (BVI) taxes, fees, permits and/or National Park fees and/or Customs and Immigration fees. 2. Onboard Wifi is included, however data rates cannot be guaranteed since the yacht is moving and on the ocean. 3. Should the Charterer have any complaints about the Yacht or the Crew they shall notify the captain in the first instance and, if the matter is not resolved within 12 hours, shall notify the Owner in writing through the Broker as soon as possible, who shall try to remedy the matter, the owner shall have no liability whatsoever in respect of any complaints which the Owner has not been notified within 48 hrs of the occurrence of the circumstances giving rise to the complaint. 4. Travel insurance and Cancellation/Curtailment insurance is highly recommended and should be sourced by the Charterer. 5. Crew gratuity (customary 15 - 20% of the Charter Fee for great service) is additional and at the CHARTERER's discretion. This gratuity should be given at the end of the Charter Period and prior to disembarking the Yacht. 6. Although every effort will be made to maintain the same crew throughout the season, with any crewed Yacht there is the possibility of a Crew change in the lead up to the Charter Period. 7. Any tandem charter involving multiple yachts requires the guests that paid for a specific yacht and are on that yachts manifest to be the only guests on that yacht during meal services, while underway, and overnight sleeping. This is due to safety and maritime requirements.

He has led maintenance across a fleet of 25 yachts, handling mechanical, electrical, and underwater repairs. Our 7-day New Year’s Eve catamaran trip through the British Virgin Islands was truly the best vacation we have ever experienced, and that is entirely thanks to our incredible crew: Captain Grant, Juan, and Chef Joelle.
From the moment we stepped on board, they went above and beyond to make every aspect of our trip unforgettable. Captain Grant and Juan made each day seamless and fun, setting up water toys for us daily and ensuring we got the most out of every beautiful location. They did more than guide the trip, they genuinely connected with us, taking time to sit, talk, and make us feel completely at home. One of our favorite memories was when Juan dressed up as a pirate for dinner one night. It perfectly captured how fun, thoughtful, and personalized the entire experience was.
Joelle’s cooking was absolutely phenomenal. Every meal was thoughtfully prepared and delicious, rivaling some of the best restaurants. We looked forward to every single dish she created.
The level of care and attention to detail from all three of them was unmatched. Our rooms were made up each morning, every need was anticipated, and the entire experience felt both luxurious and personal.
We could not have asked for a better way to ring in the New Year. This trip was unforgettable, and it is all because of Grant, Juan, and Joelle. We would do it again in a heartbeat.
Amazing Sail in the BVI’s
We sailed with our family of four and our friends, family of 5. We have sailed the BVI two times prior. This experience was amazing. Our crew, Grant, Juan and Joelle were extremely professional and some of the best we have sailed with.
The boat was immaculate and they kept it that way throughout our trip. On a previous charter, with a different boat and crew, this was NOT the case - and it makes a huge difference!
Grant was very knowledgeable and accommodating with all of our travel wishes and Juan kept the drinks flowing, toys available and provided a little comic relief here and there (Juan you know what I'm talking about *dinghy). Joelle was such an amazing chef! I can't say enough. We are a big crew with very different likes and dislikes and she kept us all happy and satisfied! Bring your appetite!
The accommodations were great. Plenty of room for all of us. I brought a LOT of clothes and was able to find room for everything! I should have brought a little less tho! Beds were comfy, showers were a good size and everything was new and up to date.
We would highly recommend and can't wait to go back!

We had the most incredible New Year’s trip aboard the Moonshadow catamaran in the British Virgin Islands—truly an experience that exceeded every expectation!
From the moment we stepped on board, everything was absolutely top-notch. Captain Grant made us feel completely at ease while expertly guiding us through some of the most beautiful waters we’ve ever seen. Juan was attentive, friendly, and always one step ahead, making sure every detail of the trip was seamless, and his cocktails did not disappoint, they were exceptional! And chef Joelle…wow. Every meal was outstanding—creative, delicious, and something we looked forward to every single day.
The combination of breathtaking scenery, perfect itinerary, and such an amazing crew made this a trip we’ll never forget. Every moment felt special, and it’s rare to find an experience that truly delivers on every level like this one did.
We’re already talking about when—not if—we’ll be booking with them again, and definitely with Grant, Juan and Joelle as our crew….. the best!! Highly, highly recommend, as Brock would say “12 outta 10”

We had an amazing charter experience on Moon Shadow! Captain Grant, Juan, and Chief Ashley were incredible—truly the best part of the trip. They took such great care of our family and made everything effortless and fun.
The boat itself was fantastic, and the food was some of the best we’ve ever had onboard. The crew always had great spots picked out for us, with plenty of watersports and activities, and they were so easy to work with the entire time.
Everything was spotless, well-organized, and handled with care. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience—highly recommend!
50th Birthday Spent on MoonShadow
We went for 50th birthdays, 5 couples. It was the best trip I’ve ever taken. The weather, the water, the boat, the captain & first mate were all beyond excellent and accommodating. Food was delicious & the overall experience was 5stars! We are still talking about it!
Moon Shadow Catamaran
Our stay on Moon Shadow was nothing short of magical! From the moment we stepped on board, we knew we were in for a world-class experience. The catamaran itself was stunning, well maintained and the ultimate floating villa. Our captain was Grant Surtees. His knowledge of the islands, professionalism and laid-back energy made us feel both safe and completely pampered. Our deckhand/amazing bartender/“all things fun” guy was Juan Groenewald. He and Grant make the perfect team.

What an amazing experience. This was our groups first time on a catamaran vacation in the BVI! It was beautiful! The crew was amazing. Food and entertainment were incredible. And Grant did a great job adjusting our trip with some difficult weather. Can’t wait to go again!

Moonshadow was 10/10 for my picky crew!
Wow! For my birthday my partner chartered the moon shadow with captain CJ for a week. To say we were spoiled is an understatement.
The boat was impeccably clean and the rooms were a good size / very comfortable. With ten friends who are a bit picky there was risk that someone would be stressed but amazingly everyone felt relaxed, well cared for, and had fun in the week. The logistics from the yacht vacay co were easy to follow, everything was on time, the itinerary was great and we looked so swaggy pulling in to each port.
The boat came with tons of things to do. My favorite was the efoil. As a snowboarder i understood the basic mechanics but was still thrilled by the feeling of flying - that was wild. We used the lily pad DAILY (even with swarms of jelly fish - captain CJ helped there). We also used the hot tub and the tv which were nice luxuries in the middle of the sea.
Iona the chef was next level!! She made the best key lime pie I’ve ever had and went over to top for my birthday with carrot cake and chocolate soufflés oh my gosh take me back! She even nailed the snacks having taken my note with an endless supply of my guilty pleasure - Doritos. Thank you Iona!! We loved your cooking.
Tilly the first mate was always kind and ensured no glass went empty (we had pain killers from morning to night!) she took care of all our needs and was helpful for troubleshooting if anything went wrong. She even showed a ton of grace in dealing with my last minute requests at 10pm right before she went off shift!
CJ - let’s gooo! Such a great captain. I felt confident and secure with him at the helm. He was always professional and had great ideas. He also has great stories that entertained us endlessly — ask him about his trip from Capetown to the Seychelles!
All in a fantastic charter that I hope to do again. Thank you so much! #moonshadow
Bucketlist Trip
Spent 7 nights on Moon Shadow with Captain CJ, Tilley, and Iona. Traveled with 4 other couples. it was THE best week! The boat was beautiful. They efoil and sea bob were an absolutr blast! The crew made the charter extra special! Every meal was so delicious, and Captain CJ took us to the best spots in the BVI. Highly recommend!

Spectacular trip of a Lifetime
We just returned from a week on Moon Shadow cruising the British Virgin Islands with the most spectacular crew-Christina our chef prepared every meal as if we were in a 5 star restaurant tailoring every meal to every guests preferences. Our captain Lene and H were the perfect team in every way. Preparing itinerary, planning games, and providing for our every wish. Our crew was always smiling and engaging and really enhanced our whole trip experience. This was a fantasy trip in every way that everyone should experience in their lifetime. The luxurious yacht and breathtaking scenery exceeded our expectations. Would rate this as the best trip we have ever been on!

Moon Shadow is amazing. Clean, big, nicely equipped, etc, but the best part by far was the crew. Lené and H got us to the best spots. H hustled the entire time. Drinks, water toys and more. Christina gets a 10 with the food. So many special requests, but she didn't skip a beat. The whole experience was off the chart!

I cannot even begin to explain how incredible our experience was, from the very first second we stepped foot on the boat to our departure our trip was incredible! The amount of detail and the attention to detail was outstanding! The boat itself is absolutely incredible, so beautiful and well kept! The back deck is set up perfectly for hanging out, eating with the most incredible views and so inviting! The interior was perfectly decorated and so inviting! The rooms were inviting and comfortable! Now once you get past the beauty of the boat this trip is all about the crew! I cannot say enough nice things about each one of them! They truly made this trip what it was! Christina’s food was the most amazing food I’ve had on a trip! I have a shrimp allergy and she was so kind to accommodate that and the food she made as a substitute was exceptional! Every single meal was “the best meal we’ve ever had” and I mean that! H was the best crew member ever, he waited on us hand and foot making sure our drinks were filled and we had lots of fun to do! He was always so kind to ask our many questions and he was the best host had games planned! And on to Lené was truly the Captain of all captains! She was so cool and collected, she was beyond capable and so sweet! She worked hard and made sure that our trip was planned to perfection. Map time was always our favorite to hear where we would be heading based on the weather! We were always so impressed with her attention to detail! Overall if you are considering this trip do it, you won’t be disappointed! I feel like we left knew this would be an amazing trip but had no idea we would leave feeling like it was truly the trip of a lifetime!!! Our week on Moon Shadow was the most incredible week we will never forget! Lené, H, and Christina were attentive to every single detail and went out of the way to make sure we had the best time. They were so fun and anticipated every need before we even knew we needed it! Christina’s food was unique and delicious, and we looked forward to every meal. That will definitely be missed at home. It was fun to eat new things we would never have tried on our own and realized we actually loved! We did so many things, every day was different, and the crew made it all so much fun. There was never a dull moment! We are sad to go home and hope to be able to cruise with Lené, H, and Christina again soon!!

Holy cow what a week!!! None of us knew what to expect when we stepped foot on to the Moon Shadow but in an instant i knew it was going to be an amazing week. Lene, H, and chef Christina were incredibly competent, kind, fun, and knew how to make sure we had the best time. Every detail was perfectly executed. The food was INCREDIBLE! Christina wowed us every single meal! I fell in love with the BVI and would book another vacation on Moon Shadow, with Lene, H, and Christina in a heartbeat!

I feel like we left knew this would be an amazing trip but had no idea we would leave feeling like it was truly the trip of a lifetime!!! The most incredible week of our lives!
Our week on Moon Shadow was the most incredible week we will never forget! Lené, H, and Christina were attentive to every single detail and went out of the way to make sure we had the best time. They were so fun and anticipated every need before we even knew we needed it! Christina’s food was unique and delicious, and we looked forward to every meal. That will definitely be missed at home. It was fun to eat new things we would never have tried on our own and realized we actually loved! We did so many things, every day was different, and the crew made it all so much fun. There was never a dull moment! We are sad to go home and hope to be able to cruise with Lené, H, and Christina again soon!!

Christmas Vacation in the BVI
Had the most amazing week ever on the Moon Shadow yacht! The food was incredible every day, and the views were unlike anything I've ever seen before. The feeling of waking up on the boat every morning and knowing the day would bring amazing activities is unmatched. The crew really made the vacation special as well. Huge thank you to Lene, H, and Leanne for the best week ever!!!

Amazing time during the holiday break! Absolutely perfect balance of fun and relaxing! Every island is a sight to see! would recommend anyone from any age group to join any of these charters, especially MOODSHADOW with lene, and h! The Food was spectacular thanks to chef leanne! Def recommend eating on the boat a lot, can't get any better! Recommend this charter for any age group!
