With over 17 years of experience in yachting and more than 25 years spent living in the South of France, yachting has been a defining part of his life. His passion for the sea began in childhood, cruising the Solent on his grandfather’s summer sailing trips along the southern coast of England—an experience that naturally led him into a career in the industry. Before earning his stripes as a Captain, he spent six years working and training in various First Officer roles. Prior to that, during his twenties, he held numerous deckhand positions on yachts of varying sizes, traveling to destinations all over the world. Now residing in Nice with his young family and based in Port Lympia, he brings both extensive experience and a deep personal passion to his role as Captain. He takes great pride in sharing the Mediterranean’s most beautiful anchorages, remarkable ports, and exceptional five-star restaurants with clients and owners, ensuring every journey aboard Motor Yacht Rare Gem is a unique and unforgettable experience. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling with his family, as well as playing tennis and skiing. Adel is an Italian chef with over five years of experience in restaurants and on luxury yachts. His cooking style is modern Mediterranean, rooted in Italian tradition and built around fresh, seasonal ingredients. He specializes in seafood, homemade pasta, premium meats, and elegant desserts, with a focus on clean flavors and refined presentation. Adel's goal is to create memorable dining experiences tailored to each guest's preferences. Outside the kitchen, he enjoys traveling, exploring new cuisines, staying active, and continually refining his craft through learning and experimentation. Mate and Engineer, Fillip, speaks English, Croatian, and Italian, and brings over 10 years of experience as a sailor. Known for his excellent communication skills, diligence, and meticulous attention to detail, he is a true team player. He prides himself on being enthusiastic, reliable, and personable, consistently executing his duties to the highest standards to maximize passenger satisfaction. Fillip enjoys meeting new people and contributing to a strong, successful charter crew, taking personal pride in his profession as both Mate and Engineer. In his spare time, he is passionate about fitness, plays racket-ball, and is a keen car enthusiast. An enthusiastic and hardworking stewardess, she has experience on both private and charter motor yachts. With a strong background in housekeeping, laundry, bartending, and silver service, she takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and delivering exceptional guest service on board. Originally from the United States, she brings a positive attitude, keen attention to detail, and a team-oriented mindset to every charter. She enjoys creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests, ensuring their experience on board is seamless and memorable. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, staying active, and spending time by the ocean. Billie Frisken-Berry is a rare gem — a Kiwi whose yachting journey began on luxury cruise ships before she found her true calling on charter yachts across Australia's stunning cruising grounds. Rising through second stew roles, she stepped confidently into Chief Stewardess on a 62m Mediterranean motor yacht. Outgoing, sociable, and endlessly curious about people and places, Billie builds genuine guest relationships and delivers charters that feel effortless and fun. Onboard, she's committed to fostering a warm, family-style culture crew and guests alike will love.
